Albion have completed the loan capture of Middlesbrough wide man Emmanuel Ledesma on an initial month’s loan.
The 26-year-old is Albion’s fifth loan signing and is available for Saturday’s visit of Birmingham City to the American Express Community Stadium.
Manager Chris Hughton said, “It’s no secret that we were still looking to add a winger and strengthen in that area, and I am delighted to have agreed to bring Emmanuel in on loan.
“He brings good Championship experience, and is a creative player who is also capable of scoring goals. Our target was to add in four key areas, and we have now achieved that.”
After beginning his career as a youth player with Serie A side Genoa, Ledesma enjoyed a successful season's loan at Queens Park Rangers in 2008/09.
He spent time in Italy with Salernitana, Novara Calcio and Crotone, and also had a trial with Albion before moving to Walsall - where he had two spells either side of a summer spell in Argentina with boyhood club Defensa y Justica.
In his second spell with Walsall, four goals in nine starts and attracted the attention of Middlesbrough in the summer of 2012.
This season Ledesma has found first-team opportunities limited at the Riverside Stadium – but impressed during a loan spell at Rotherham before Christmas where he made seven appearances.
