Chris Hughton rued another frustrating night for Albion as they drew a fourth successive blank.

The Seagulls drew 0-0 at home to Huddersfield and are now seven points above the drop zone.

They struggled to create clear openings against well-organised visitors who probably should have grabbed a win late on when Nakhi Wells hit the post.

Hughton said: “It was frustrating. I think our endeavour certainly in the first half was there.

“We got a lot of crosses in during the first ten or 15 minutes of the game.

“But it was probably another frustrating evening when we weren’t able to get the real good opportunities we need to get.

“Credit to Huddersfield. They worked hard and got a lot of bodies behind the ball and made it very difficult for us."

Hughton added: “I think we edged it on possession. On good chances it was about even but we are finding it very difficult to get goals.

“At the moment we are lacking that bit of confidence and that little bit of guile, that bit of quality.”

Albion hope to learn tomorrow the extent of the injury suffered by Joao Teixeira, who suffered ankle damage.
