Dean Saunders reminded his Crawley players there is still work to do despite moving out of the League One relegation zone with a 2-0 win at home to fellow strugglers Notts County.
The Reds jumped three places in the table after goals from defenders Kelly Youga and Darren Ward earned them a vital victory.
Interim manager Saunders was delighted with the performance but knows Crawley are not out of trouble yet.
He said: “We scored two great goals from set-plays we had practised.
“We used the conditions. The wind was blowing down the pitch so Anthony Wordsworth’s deliveries into the box were good and we got 2-0 up.
“We managed the game really well and could have scored five or six more.
“We could have killed the game off but I can’t complain because we got beat 5-0 in the week. To bounce back, the players have done brilliantly.
“We are in a good position now but we are still not safe.”
