Former Albion boss Micky Adams has put his hat in the ring for the vacant Crawley manager’s job.
The 53-year-old is keen on returning to Sussex for a third time following two contrasting stints in charge of the Seagulls.
Reds are looking for a new manager after parting company with John Gregory last weekend and have been contacted by more than 30 potential candidates.
Dean Saunders – who took over on an interim basis when Gregory stepped down in December for health reasons – was due to hold talks with Crawley yesterday but has been heavily linked with the Chesterfield job.
Adams led Albion to the division three title in 2001 before joining Leicester and returned for an unsuccessful spell in 2008.
The former Fulham boss is out of work having left Tranmere by mutual consent last month with Rovers sitting bottom of League Two.
