Albion striker Chris O'Grady could still be a target for Sheffield United if new boss Nigel Adkins pursues their interest.
The former Reading and Southampton manager has taken charge of the League One giants in succession to Nigel Clough, who signed O'Grady on loan and was keen to capture him permanently prior to being sacked.
O'Grady scored twice in matches for Barnsley during Adkins' reign at Reading.
Ex-Albion duo Andy Crosby and Dean Wilkins have been reunited with Adkins at Bramall Lane as part of his backroom team.
