Eastbourne Eagles collected their second trophy in a week as they wrapped up the Gold Cup tonight.

They beat Birmingham 52-37 on a night of celebration at Arlington to complete a 99-80 success on aggregate.

Eagles hit the front on the night in heat one when the other wise untouchable Brummies No.1 Adam Ellis inexplicably fell on the last lap when leading.

Richard Andrews compiled a five-ride paid maximum from reserve for the hosts, Ben Hopwood looked quick and Bradley Wilson-Dean and Marc Owen played their usual reliable roles.

Skipper Owen and Andrews secured the Cup with a 5-1 in heat 12.

Just like last Sunday, when Eagles won the National Trophy, fans were allowed on to the centre green to watch the presentation from close up and take part in the celebrations.

Eagles still have the Knockout Cup final to look forward to they chase a treble in October.

Eagles: Andrews 12+3 (5), Wilson-Dean 11+1 (5), Hopwood 9 (5), Owen 8+1 (4), Spiller 8 (4), Dugard 4+3 (4), Wood 0 (3).

Birmingham: Ellis 12 (5), Perry 10 (5), Ayres 6 (4), Smith 4+1 (6), Kirby 4 (5), Parkinson-Blackburn 1 (4), Chapman r/r.
