Albion believe England flyer Solly March can give them an exciting option for the Championship campaign – as one of TWO wild cards on the wing.

The under-21 international could start on the left at Leeds on Saturday on his return from international duty.

But boss Chris Hughton has revealed he is open-minded as to where he plays both March and Jamie Murphy as he plots how to attack teams out wide.

Murphy is suspended for the Seagulls’ next two games and the club are monitoring Kazenga LuaLua’s recovery from a groin injury during the current break.

But March’s performance on the left in the second half against Cardiff City last time out has given Hughton real food for thought for matches ahead – especially when he has everyone available.

The Albion boss said:”The most pleasing aspect for me from Solly’s performance against Cardiff is he has predominantly played on the right wing while I was here.

“I played him on the left in the game when he got injured last season against Forest.

“He is one I’ve always seen as can play on the left but there is no doubt he has played a large majority of his football on the right-hand side.

“I would have to say it gives me a really good option.

“What I’ve got now is Kazenga who is very much a left-sided player.

“I’ve got Liam Rosenior, who is very much a right-sided player.

“In Murphy and March I’ve got two who can play either position.”
