Bobby Zamora is back in the starting line-up as Albion aim end to avoid an unwanted record today.
Zamora, on his 35th birthday, replaces James Wilson up front for the Seagulls at Blackburn as one of two changes to the side which kicked off at Rotherham on Tuesday.
The other alteration is enforced as Connor Goldson comes into central defence for the injured Gordon Greer.
Albion are looking to avoid what would be their first ever run of seven games without a goal.
They could also set an unwanted all-time club record for minutes without a goal.
Recent signing Richie Towell is on the bench but Sam Baldock is not in the 18.
Former Albion star Elliott Bennett starts on the right flank for Rovers, who go 4-4-2.
Blackburn: Steele; Marshall, Kilgallon, Hanley, Spurr; Bennett, Lenihan, Akpan, Conway; Rhodes, Brown. Subs: Raya, Henley, Olsson, Lawrence, Williamson, Evans, Jackson.
Albion: Stockdale; Bruno, Goldson, Dunk, Ridgewell; Knockaert, Kayal, Stephens, Murphy; Hemed, Zamora. Subs: Maenpaa, Calderon, Crofts, LuaLua, Wilson, Manu, Towell.
