Albion are closing in on the return of Glenn Murray.
Progress has been made in the Seagulls' long-standing bid to bring the centre-forward back to the club from Bournemouth, The Argus understands.
Murray, currently training with Bournemouth's under-21s, is desperate for the move to happen, whether permanently or on loan.
He has endured a miserable time with the Premier League Cherries since joining them from Crystal Palace for £4 million at the start of last season.
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe thwarted Albion's hopes of signing him in January.
Murray scored 56 goals in 136 games for the Seagulls before moving to Palace in 2011.
Since then he has registered 44 goals in 97 games at Championship level for Palace and during a loan spell at Reading.
