Sam Baldock is on the brink of celebrating a landmark appearance by joining a select band of Amex goalscorers for Albion.

The in-form striker is expected to make the 200th league start of his career against Norwich on Saturday.

Baldock scored in each of the last two home games, against Preston and Wolves.

If he pounces again against Norwich he will become only the fourth Albion The Argus: player to net in three home games in succession in the Amex era.

Leo Ulloa (above) managed it twice, in August 2013 and February 2014, when he scored in four in a row.

Tomer Hemed, back in the squad as an unused sub at Wigan last Saturday after two matches out with thigh trouble, got on a roll in February against Brentford, Bolton and Leeds.

The only other Albion player to do the 'hat-trick' is more of a surprise. That was Spanish midfielder David Lopez (below) in February/March 2013.

The Argus: Norwich's visit launches a run of matches with extra significance for Baldock.

Albion's next away game is at his old club Bristol City, where he scored last season.

After that and another international break, the Seagulls return to the Amex against Aston Villa, the team Baldock supported as a boy.

The crowd for the Norwich game is threatening to be a sell-out, Albion warning yesterday of the "possibility" of no pay-on-the-day option.

Referee Andy Madley makes his second trip to the Amex this season after taking charge of Albion's opening home match, the 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest.

Norwich also have fond memories of Madley. He was the ref for their League Cup win at Everton last month.
