Lee Johnson expects Bristol City to crack the toughest defence in the Championship today.

The City manager believes Albion’s impressive tally of clean sheets will still be on ten when they return home from Ashton Gate.

He is convinced his 4-2-3-1 set-up, with teen sensation Tammy Abraham as its spearhead, can trouble Bruno and company.

Johnson said: “I believe we will score because we have good players in forward areas.

“They are a solid unit and difficult to break down but I believe, at our best, we will score against anybody “We have got delivery, we have got people who spot things, we have got vision and we have got finishers.

“That is very expensive in the Championship. We have spent money on players like Lee Tomlin and Callum O’Dowda, we’ve got the old timers like Aaron Wilbraham and we brought in a fantastic loan in Tammy Abraham.

“I believe we have the scope and the potential to score goals and we have to make sure we are real tough opposition for Brighton’s strong defence.”

Bristol City midfielder Bobby Reid was impressed by Albion’s 5-0 win over Norwich – but not overly so.

He felt they were given a helping hand or two by the hapless Canaries.

Reid said: “We saw the goals back and a few were mistakes.

“They didn’t really carve Norwich open as such. We know they will be a good team and a tough test.

“But I think we will be ready for it.”

He added: “I think we have played the big teams and shown we can give a good account of ourselves.”
