Albion legend Bobby Zamora has urged his former team-mates to clinch not just promotion but the Championship title as well.

The Seagulls need to beat Wigan at the Amex on Monday (3pm) to effectively go up to the Premier League.

Huddersfield could still theoretically finish level on points if they also win at Derby (5pm) but Albion's goal difference is superior by 31.

Bettering Huddersfield's result will put a mathematical seal on the deal but Zamora does not want the celebrations to end there.

The striker, who retired last season at the end of his second stint with the club, wants the Seagulls to also beat Newcastle to top spot.

Albion are four points clear of the Toon with four games to go after their 2-0 win at Wolves last night was followed by a 1-1 home draw for the North-East giants, ex-Seagull Chris Wood equalising deep into stoppage time for Leeds.

Three wins from their last four games would guarantee Albion going up as champions.

Zamora tweeted to several of his former team-mates: "Absolutely buzzing. Amazing win I want champs."
