DAVID STOCKDALE 6

Handling from a range of shots was exemplary and made fine saves from two Hourihane free-kicks. The manner of Grealish's title-robber will take a while to forget.

BRUNO 7

Shrugged off lengthy early injury delay after clash of heads with Hogan which required three stitches. Led the team with customary composure. Subbed due to a slight injury before Grealish struck.

FIKAYO TOMORI 7

Another sound contribution from the on-loan Chelsea youngster, replacing the unwell Uwe Huenemeier at the heart of the defence. He has improved throughout his stay.

LEWIS DUNK 7

Has not been disrupted by the change of partners, Duffy, Huenemeier, finally Tomori. Blameless for hunger to defend in trying to block Grealish's shot. Thrown up front at the death.

SEB POCOGNOLI 6

Hard to know if it was his last game for Albion. Out-of-contract West Brom left-back has done well overall but fortunate to get away with two first half errors which could have led to goals.

ANTHONY KNOCKAERT 6

Not at his most influential, destructive best by any means against Wales left-back Neil Taylor, but he sent over a super cross for Murray when strayed on to the left.

DALE STEPHENS 7

Became more of a midfield factor in the second half as the game became increasingly stretched and Albion looked to attack. Might have nicked it at the death.

STEVE SIDWELL 7

Certainly one of Albion’s most busy and effective players in the first half, twice going for goal with headers. One downside was the concession of two dangerous free-kicks.

JAMIE MURPHY 6

Maybe a surprise pick for the left-wing role and it did not really come off. Came more into the game in the second period when Albion made a concerted effort to get the ball wide.

GLENN MURRAY 7

So cool, confident and clinical to tuck away the penalty which put the prize within reach. That capped a magnificent season for him and second promotion, but not title, with the club.

SAM BALDOCK 6

Read Murray’s flick to provoke the penalty and red card, which was fine work. But should have made more of two other good chances, especially from Murray’s cutback.

SUBS:

SOLLY MARCH 6

Sent on for the final push in what may well have been a pre-planned push and arguably gave Albion just a bit more on the left.

LIAM ROSENIOR

Given a tough task as deputy right-back during a testing period of the contest.

TOMER HEMED

Sent on for the final push.
