Harry Kewell says he is falling in love with football again after taking over as manager of Crawley.
The former Leeds, Liverpool and Australia winger is taking up his first senior managerial role having previously been with Watford’s academy.
“I feel I am ready to accept this job and really progress my coaching career,” he said as he met the media at the Checkatrade Stadium last night.
“As soon as I finished playing football I started coaching younger levels, went through my licece and my passion has grown and I am falling in love with the game on another level.
“I just really want to go out there now and show people what my mind thinks about football.”
Kewell said Reds’ ambition matched his own.
He added: “I love football, I loved playing it but I love even more the technical side of it. My goal is to be able to say I brought people together and brought the best out of them.”
