Albion are set to add Club Brugge's Stefano Denswil to their defensive ranks.
The versatile 24-year-old Dutchman arrived late last night for a medical to complete a season-long loan.
If the deal goes through, Denswil will join former Brugge team-mate Jose Izquierdo at the Amex.
Colombian winger Izquierdo joined the Seagulls from the Belgian club for a club record £13.5 million.
Capturing Denswil, who is of Surinamese descent, is expected to trigger a loan move to Ipswich for Connor Goldson.
Former Ajax stopper Denswil, linked previously with Celtic and Hamburg, is under contract at Brugge until 2020.
He represented Holland at every level from under-15 to under-21s.
