Former Albion boss Gus Poyet has resigned as coach of Chinese Super League big-spenders Shanghai Shenhua.
The Uruguayan quit after a 2-1 defeat to Henan Jianye left Shanghai languishing in 12th place.
Their 11th reverse in 23 matches this season included the return of Argentinian striker Carlos Tevez from the bench after a persistent calf injury.
Poyet's managerial career has nosedived since Albion sacked him for gross misconduct in June 2013.
The 49-year-old has also been in charge of Sunderland, AEK Athens and Real Betis since leaving the Amex.
