Albion’s Under-23s lost 5-1 against a strong West Brom side at The Hawthorns toight.
The Baggies included first-team players Claudio Yacob, Gareth McAuley, Oliver Burke and Sam Field in their line-up for the Premier League 2 Division Two game.
Evan Pierce gave the hosts a 12th-minute lead with a glancing header from Yacob’s cross.
Robbie McCourt doubled their lead on the hour before Henrik Bjordal pulled one back for Seagulls seven minutes later.
Alex Bradley restored the two-goal lead in the 76th minute before Rayhaan Tulloch scored from the spot after he was fouled by Will Collar four minutes later.
Finn Azaz struck the fifth goal in the final minute.
