ALBION Under-23s will have home advantage in their play-off semi-final after Aaron Connolly’s treble helped them whack Wolverhampton Wanderers 5-0 tonight.

Simon Rusk’s Seagulls will host Middlesbrough for a spot in the English Premier League 2 Division Two play-off final buoyed by a dominant win at Molineux.

Connolly gave Albion the lead on the stroke of half-time when he volleyed home Henrik Bjordal’s cross.

He doubled their lead four minutes after the restart with a cool finish from a Danny Mandroiu free-kick into the area.

The Irishman completed his hat-trick ten minutes later after collecting a Max Sanders pass and curling his finish past Andreas Sondergaard.

In-form Swede Victor Gyokeres got in on the act on 69 minutes with a close-range finish for the fourth.

Bjordal struck an upright with a 25-yard effort before Danny Mandroiu wrapped up the emphatic win four minutes from time with a fine 25-yard free-kick.
