LEO ULLOA wants to stay with Albion after ending a 17-month goal drought in the Premier League.

The Argentinian headed the Seagulls level in last night’s 3-1 defeat by champions Manchester City at the Etihad.

It was Ulloa’s second goal since returning to the Amex on loan from Leicester in January and his first in the top flight since scoring for his parent club at Stoke in December 2016.

Ulloa was recalled to the starting line-up by Chris Hughton in place of top scorer Glenn Murray.

His chances have been limited by Murray’s form but he would like to stay.

Ulloa told The Argus: “I have one year more there (at Leicester). I don’t know. I am waiting until the end of the season to speak with Leicester, to speak with Brighton and we’ll see what happens.

“I would like to stay here, because I am comfortable here. I feel so good in the ‘house’. That is important.

“I don’t want to think too much about that. I want to finish the season and after we’ll see what happens.

“My idea (is to stay) but that does not depend on me, it depends on different things and the clubs have to speak and make a decision. I came to fight for a position and to play. Glenn has been very good in the second part of the season and helped the team. Now we will see what happens with Leicester and me.”

Ulloa headed in Davy Propper’s cross to briefly give Albion hope of springing a surprise.

He said: “I’m so happy for that but I’m sad that we lost. They are the champions and it’s so difficult to play against them. They have possession of the ball all the time and move quick. We made some mistakes. We were competitive and at 1-1 we tried to defend, but they have too much quality.”
