Chris Hughton was pleased to see Albion get a tough work-out as they lost 2-1 at AFC Wimbledon today.
Oliver Norwood converted a penalty to halve arrears for a Seagulls side who trailed 2-0 after half an hour.
Hughton split his first-team squad for today’s game and yesterday’s 3-0 win over Crawley.
The Albion boss said: “We didn’t turn up for the first half an hour and made life difficult for ourselves.
“They are a very organised team here and we expected a hard game.
“We probably had the better chances – (Jurgen) Locadia had three really good opportunities.
“But, as regards a work out, we managed to play some of the young lads as well and it was exactly what we wanted.”
