Albion have completed the capture of Danish winger Anders Dreyer for the under-23s.

The 20-year-old has signed from Superliga side Esbjerg for an undisclosed fee.

Dreyer could feature in the squad for the promoted under-23s opening league game against Liverpool at the Lancing training complex on Friday evening (7pm).

Coach Simon Rusk said: "He arrives here on the back of a prolific first full season in the Danish first division, in which he topped the scoring charts and helped Esbjerg win promotion back to the Superliga.

"I'm looking forward to working with Anders this season and helping him continue his development here with us."

Bramming-born Dreyer became a regular in Esbjerg's first team last season after joining them in April 2017. He notched 18 goals, including a hat-trick in the second leg of a promotion play-off.

He has already scored once in four appearances this season, raising his overall tally to 23 goals in 49 outings in all competitions.

Dreyer has also been capped by his country from under-17s to under-20s level.

Albion are likely to make a further addition to the under-23s squad before their league campaign gets underway.

They face Haywards Heath in the Sussex Community Shield at Culver Road, Lancing, tonight (7.30pm).
