Albion were goalless at the midway point of the FA Cup tie at Cheltenham - despite dominating in terms of possession.
Their best goal attempt was a thumping 16th-minute drive by Jake Robinson which home keeper Shane Higgs pushed away for a corner.
The Seagulls had no scares, other than when Tommy Elphick, outstanding again at the back, went down for a minute or so holding his left knee following a tackle.
Elphick was fit to continue.
