Albion are poised to step up their attempts to land Chesterfield midfielder and captain Peter Leven following a double injury blow.
Paul Reid and Tommy Fraser have both been ruled out for several weeks.
Reid limped off with medial knee ligament damage in Tuesday's 1-0 defeat at Northampton.
Fraser suffered ankle ligament damage in Wednesday's Sussex Senior Cup win at Three Bridges.
Albion have already had a bid of about £50,000 rejected for 24-year-old Leven, who is out of contract at Chesterfield at the end of the season.
