Glenn Murray is not thinking about becoming Albion's next Bobby Zamora.

The Seagulls' new goalscoring sensation just wants to learn off Nicky Forster.

Murray marked his full debut with a first-half double in Saturday's 3-0 home victory over Crewe.

Albion's £300,000 buy from Rochdale said: "I've heard quite a bit about Bobby off the chairman.

"Obviously I have seen him in the Premiership and he is a very good player. I am not thinking that far ahead. If my career turns out to be just a little bit like Bobby's I'd be over the moon.

"I have just got to play my own game and try and learn by playing with Nicky Forster. I thought it went very well and that was our first 90 minutes.

"We have trained a little bit together but not much. Hopefully our partnership can flourish. Fozzie is the quicker one, I like to get up and nod it down for him."

Murray has now scored eight goals in as many starts for Rochdale and Albion and 12 in total this season.

The teasing 24-year-old said: "I have got a target but you are not finding it out! My best in the League was 19 last year, although I scored more than that in non-League once.

"I have moved up a division but I've kept the same target from League Two, so hopefully I can still get that."

Can Glenn Murray be the best since Zamora?
