Albion manager Dean Wilkins has urged his team to learn from the professionalism of tonight's (Tues) visitors Tranmere Rovers.

The Seagulls have lost all three clashes between the sides since Wilkins took charge, including a 1-0 defeat at Withdean last season.

Tranmere killed that game off after taking the lead, in contrast to Albion's 2-1 defeat at Cheltenham on Saturday when they were beaten by two injury time goals.

Wilkins said: "Tranmere have proved to be difficult for us in the past. They are very solid, very workmanlike and experienced as well, so it will be a tough game.

"I have watched a video of last year's game, when they beat us 1-0. They saw out that game in a way we failed to at Cheltenham.

"The lesson we can learn from Saturday is that at 1-0 up we have got to be a bit more professional than that and a bit cuter.

"We were still going for the second goal in areas of the pitch where we could possibly have kept possession.

"At that stage of the game waste as much time as possible.

"It might not be good on the eye or for the spectator but, when you have not performed particularly well but have got three points in the bag, then with four minutes of injury time left you have got to make sure those three points stay in the bag."

Frenchman David Martot (ankle) is still among seven injured players, four of them midfielders, but Gary Hart is available again after a three-match ban.

Albion are seeking clarification of the number of bookings received by Wes Fogden during a loan stint at Dorchester to determine whether he is suspended with Adam El-Abd for next Tuesday's rematch with Cheltenham. Fogden picked up a yellow card as a substitute on Saturday.
