The journey continues for Brighton’s Harlem Eubank as he looks to improve his perfect 14-0 record, writes Austin Ejuetami.
He is heading up to Tyneside for his next big night.
Eubank had been scheduled to face Tom Farrell but will now take on Mexican Eliot Chavez after the Liverpudlian was ruled out citing Covid.
The fight takes place at the Vertu Motors Arena in Newcastle and is live on Channel 5 (10pm).
Eubank stole the show last time out at the London O2 Indigo with a spectacular KO of former commonwealth champion Sean ‘Masher’ Dodd.
He is now intent on making another big statement to secure a shot at the British title.
Harlem said: “The British title means a lot to me.
“My uncle, Chris Snr, has always placed a lot of prestige on the Lonsdale belt.
“I was ringside when my cousin, Chris Jnr, lifted the title and now I am ready to do the same.”
“I am targeting all the top names in my division and those fights will be coming soon.
“I am confident I beat anyone at British domestic level, so whoever holds the title, I am coming to get it!”
