Harlem Eubank will fight at the Brighton Centre, live and free-to-air on Channel 5.
The unbeaten super lightweight contender headlines against tough German Timo Schwarzkopf on what promises to be an emotionally charged night in front of his own fans.
Eubank will be the first of his fighting family to box in the city since his uncle Chris Eubank Senior defended his world title in the iconic seaside resort in the early 1990s.
He knows hometown support is vital when he faces Schwarzkopf – a fighter who has never been stopped - on Friday November 10.
A big-name undercard for the Wasserman Boxing event, delivered in association with Ladbrokes, Numan and Infinitum Entertainment, will be announced in due course.
Harlem Eubank said: “The hairs on the back of my neck stand up whenever I think about November 10, and fighting in Brighton, in front of my hometown fans.
“You could say that this has been my destiny, that it was meant to be and was written in the stars, but this isn’t going to be a one-off, I want to make this the first of many big nights of boxing in my city.
“I know the great people of Brighton will come out in force to support me and the fight with Schwarzkopf, and the event, will be one to savour.” Schwarzkopf said: “I fully understand how everyone expects this fight to go. They will be buying tickets and watching the fight on television, expecting to see Harlem win in spectacular fashion.
“But, sorry, that is not going to happen. I am far too experienced, tough and skilful for Eubank and I will ruin his homecoming.”
