Rebels boss Hinshelwood said: “I’m really pleased for them, maybe 14 or 15 turned up for a training session last night.
“We tried to get an extra one in to prepare properly for this game and I’m glad that kind of work and effort they have put in to be here for an extra night has paid off for them.”
Injury-hit Eastbourne Borough went down 2-0 at Maidstone.
Borough have brought in former Albion youngster George Brown, a defender, on dual forms with Haywards Heath.
Brown went on as sub at Maidstone but injury worries grew as Brad Barry was forced off by a hamstring issue.
