Former Sussex skipper Chris Adams has withdrawn from an advisory role at the club.
He spoke to chairman Jon Filby yesterday, informing him of his intention to step down from the cricket committee.
Adams has this morning put his decision in writing to Filby and chief executive Rob Andrew.
Andrew remains in charge at the county until Christmas, when he will move to take on a new role at the ECB.
BBC Radio Sussex revealed last night that Ian Gould had stepped down from his role on the Sussex cricket committee.
The news comes hot on the heels of an announcement that highly-rated young batsman Ali Orr is to leave the club and join Hampshire.
Adams' own departure comes due to a shift in due process as to how decisions are reached, then made, therefore calling into question the purpose and validity of the cricket committee and the role he had been brought in to fulfil.
