Roco Rees has been told he showed quality and character as he kept a Worthing clean sheet.
The former Albion academy goalkeeper had a night to forget in the recent defeat by Dartford.
But he excelled with hands and feet in a 3-0 win at Farnborough on Tuesday.
Goals from Joan Luque, Ollie Pearce and Ricky Aguiar rewarded an excellent second-half performance by Rebels in Vanarama National League south.
Boss Adam Hinshelwood said: “It was an excellent performance.
“To keep a clean sheet was massive and Roco comes out of that with a lot of praise.
“He took crosses, coming out and punching stuff, which we have been asked from him and he was comfortable on the ball.
“A lot of attacks come from his good play.
“He has made mistakes but what a response from a 22-year-old.
“In the second half, we really showed what we can do if we play with confidence.”
Worthing have returned to the play-off places and are back on the road on Saturday when they visit Taunton.
