Mark Beard's injury woes are easing at Eastbourne Borough.

Which means his own training ground mishap need not matter too much.

Borough had six players back for their 1-1 draw at Dover on Tuesday, including striker Zak Emmerson, whose goal put them ahead.

They almost grabbed a late winner but Beard was happy enough with the point.

He expects to have three more players return at Hemel Hempstead on Saturday and has signed former Crawley full-back David Sesay from Weymouth.

Borough did not have candidates for the subs bench when they lost at Hendon in the FA Trophy last Saturday so the boss thought he might give it a go.

He said: “I thought, ‘I’ll have some of that’ - but I did my hamstring on Friday in training!”

Seasay has started training with Beard’s squad and said: “The vision of the club is really good. I like what they are doing here.”

Borough are at home to Torquay on Tuesday.
