Worthing have been told to take confidence from a derby double.
Rebels enjoyed a 4-0 success at Eastbourne Borough on New Year’s Day, having beaten their Sussex rivals 3-0 on Boxing Day.
Boss Adam Hinshelwood believes his side can get themselves into a position to take advantage should there be any slip by Yeovil, who currently look on course to win the Vanarama National League south title.
Hinshelwood said: “It’s nice to see one or two playing with a bit more confidence.
“When this group get confident, they are a really tough team to play against.
“When I look around that changing room, I’ve got a lot of talent staring back at me.
“If we can get that togetherness and work ethic, we have got a really good team on our hands.
“Now it is down to us to maintain our standards.
“Can we put a run together of results as well as performances?
“Performances have been good for a few weeks but now it is time to knuckle down and get some results together."
Danny Cashman was left out at Borough with a minor injury but Hinshelwood hopes to have him back on Saturday when Worthing host Chelmsford.
