Worthing are on the brink of confirming their play-off place after a brilliant 3-1 win at leaders Yeovil.
They denied the hosts the point which would have secured them the Vanarama National League south title.
Ollie Pearce (penalty) and Brad Dolaghan put them two up before Ollie Wright saved a Rhys Murphy penalty as the Glovers piled on pressure.
They reduced arrears through Alex Fisher’s close-range header and had a goal disallowed in added time before Pearce curled home his second.
Rebels interim boss Aarran Racine said: “In the last few games we have defended much better as a team and in winning individual battles.
“Ollie Wright saving the penalty is a big moment in the game and prior to that he pulled off a really great save.”
Eastbourne Borough remain a point clear of the drop zone after their 1-0 win at home to Weymouth.
Matt Green’s sharp finish after only ten minutes was enough and Borough assistant boss Stuart Watkiss said: “That’s the best result since me and Adam (Murray, head coach) came in, just because of the players we had unavailable.
“We kept telling lads who weren’t in the team that they would be needed at some stage.
“That has proved to be the case and those players who stepped in have done themselves proud.”
