Albion have confirmed two of their 18-year-old prospects have signed professional contracts.

Joe Knight and Zane Albarus have both played for the under-18s and progressed to the 21s this season.

Central midfielder Knight was among the side who shocked the Reading senior squad in the Bristol Street Motors EFL Trophy on a memorable evening at the Amex.

Albarus, who also plays in midfield, has been a regular in the under-18s and has also featured for Shannon Ruth’s 21s in recent weeks.

He was previously in the youth system at his hometown club MK Dons and was the first player to join the Seagulls as part of their full-time training and educational model.

Albarus played as the under-18s lost 3-2 at Fulham on Saturday, goals coming from Sahil Bashir and Harry Howell.
