Albion want to see more of Julio Enciso – if he is fully fit.

Roberto De Zerbi said the Paraguay international would start but for ongoing problems with his knee.

He also praised the energy Odel Offiah brought to the team after starting at right-back.

Enciso twice went close after going on as sub with his team 2-0 down at Bournemouth.

Head coach De Zerbi said: “Julio Enciso yesterday (Saturday) didn’t work with the team.

“He is working not every day. He is working with pain in the knee.

“He still feels a problem and pain because if Julio feels good, Julio is one of the first XI.”

Enciso looked to rally Albion fans for a late push after shooting past the top corner at the Vitality Stadium.

He later posted on social media: “Very sad about the result.

“Apologies to the fans who make a giant effort to keep supporting us.

“We will continue to work to reverse this situation with God always.”

Offiah made some lively bursts down the right on his first Premier League start.

De Zerbi said: “I think he played very well.

“I played with Odel Offiah and O’Mahony because Danny Welbeck couldn’t play in the first XI. Julio as well.

“And for another reason, because I want to see energy, strong energy, motivation on the pitch.”
