Valentin Barco has been told to stay up to speed with the Premier League.

The Argentinean teen is already a favourite with Albion fans after his first two starts.

Roberto De Zerbi is pleased with his progress but has revealed the key advice he is giving the former Boca Juniors star.

Albion’s head coach told The Argus: “To play his style, to understand physically it is different, the league.

“To play faster, to understand before he receives the ball what is the next pass, what is the solution he has to take.

“And then, in terms of behaviour, he is top.”

De Zerbi appears to face a decision between Igor and Adam Webster in defence alongside Lewis Dunk.

Jan Paul van Hecke (hamstring) missed the defeat at Bournemouth and De Zerbi said there were no changes to the injury list other than adding Adam Lallana.

Danny Welbeck and Joel Veltman are contenders to return to the initial XI having been on the bench at Bournemouth.
