John Sullivan is on standby for a tilt at a table-topping hat-trick for Albion at Withdean tonight.

Sullivan, pictured, deputised in goal for the injured Michel Kuipers when the Seagulls overcame current League One leaders Leicester and their closest pursuers, Millwall, in consecutive home games.

He could be back between the posts again against third-placed MK Dons, with Kuipers a doubt after damaging his left hand in training yesterday.

Boss Micky Adams is already committed to a defensive change, as Adam Virgo is suspended following his red card in last Saturday’s battling 1-1 draw at Oldham.

Tommy Elphick, rested at Boundary Park, is favourite to return at centre half and leading marksman Glenn Murray should be fit to spearhead the attack with Nicky Forster.

Murray resumed training yesterday after twisting an ankle at Oldham.

Joe Anyinsah's loan spell from Preston is likely to end with a place on the bench as Albion search for a victory which would propel them from a point and a place off the relegation zone in 20th to 15th, within four points of the top ten.

Assistant manager Dean White said: "We dug out a result at Oldham and we need to take that that attitude and form into tonight's game.

"It will be a difficult game but we've had some decent results at home against some of the top sides.

"They are a good away team and a good attacking team. We have looked at them and their defence isn't the best at times, but overall they are a decent side with good players and they have been pretty free-scoring, so we need to be right at it."
