Crawley led 2-1 at half-time against Forest Green Rovers in tonight's Blue Square premier tussle at Broadfield Stadium.

Reds got the ideal start when Jamie Cook latched onto a long ball from rightback and cut inside onto his left foot before driving a low shot past Terry Burton.

They had two goals disallowed before Eddie Hutchinson got his first for the club after 21 minutes when he rose to head home Sam Rents' free kick.

But Rovers got themselves back into the game eight minutes before the break. Paul Stonehouse broke down the left and his cross eluded a clutch of defenders allowing Jonathan Smith to guide the ball past Simon Rayner from close range.
