Eastbourne Eagles expect Lewis Bridger to be back up to power against Poole.
The teenage star has struggled at No. 1 in the last two meetings.
He has now been to see top engine tuner Peter Johns, brother of former rider Roger, to get himself in order.
Eagles badly need him on song when Poole visit Arlington tomorrow (7.30pm).
Promoter Bob Dugard said: “Lewis is fully aware he has got to change something and I’m totally convinced it’s down to his engine. Peter’s a really good tuner. He does Leigh Adams’ bikes.”
