Elliott Bennett has pledged his future to Albion and assured fans “I have got no need to move anywhere”.

Boss Gus Poyet expects Bennett to attract attention during the January transfer window if he continues his hot form.

The winger goes into tomorrow’s Withdean showdown against table-topping Leeds fresh from three goals in seven games.

The clash with the Yorkshire giants gives Bennett another opportunity to parade his talents.

But the 20-year-old is looking no further than a bright future with the Seagulls following his £200,000 summer switch from Premier League newcomers Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Bennett, signed on a three-year contract, said: “I am very happy here. My girlfriend has just come down, I am renting a house down here and I am really enjoying what is happening.

“There are a lot of things to look forward to at this club. There is the stadium and the new manager has come in.

“Everyone is buzzing off that, so I have got no need to move anywhere.

“You always get talk about players. It sells papers but I am really happy here. Hopefully we can get on a run and do well.”

Bennett, on target in Wednesday’s FA Cup replay win against Wycombe Wanderers, has been impressed by Poyet’s attention to detail.` He said: “I don’t need to introduce who he is to anyone, because obviously he was a brilliant player.

“He has got us all organised and everyone has huge respect for him. He has been honest with everyone.

“He hasn’t shouted or bawled. He has talked and I think the lads just need a bit of guidance. He has brought that in.

“Before Wednesday’s game we all met up at the racquet club (Falmer) and had a pre-match meal. That is something we didn’t do in the past.

“That’s brilliant now, because we all eat together. Some of the boys are travelling from an hour away and perhaps were eating a bit too early. All these little things help.”
