Charles Ademeno could add to Crawley’s problems ahead of tonight’s visit of leaders Oxford United.
The 20-year-old striker played through the pain barrier in Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Gateshead when the Reds were missing seven of their 17-man first-team squad.
Skipper Adam Quinn is back from a one-match suspension tonight but his return could be countered by the loss of Ademeno.
The summer signing, who is still being troubled by a knee problem, came off eight minutes from the end on Saturday and Crawley will make a late decision on his involvement tonight.
Boss Steve Evans said: “Ademeno is playing 60% fit up front. He could miss Tuesday’s game. We are taking a gamble every time we play him to get him through.
“He is carrying some fluid on the knee. We get that drained and he feels a bit of discomfort. Medically we have been told it shouldn’t do him any harm but from his point of view we need to assess him on Tuesday, see how he is an hour or two before kick-off and make a late decision.
“If he is out, that is the way it seems to be.”
