Lewis Bridger is set to rejoin Eastbourne Eagles - but not before he has ridden against them.

Bridger's place in the Coventry line-up has been confirmed by the BSPA management committee for tomorrow's trip to Ipswich and Friday's home clash with Eastbourne. He also expects to ride against Swindon on Monday.

However Coventry and Eastbourne have agreed to submit new line-ups which will see Bridger return to Arlington next week.

The agreement is expected to be confirmed first thing tomorrow.

The Bexhill-based racer was released from his loan spell at Peterborough this week and traded to Coventry without his parent club in Sussex being informed.

Eagles objected and two days of intense negotiation ensued.

Bridger is now on course to make his Eagles return in the first Thursday night league clash at Arlington when Swindon visit next week.

His poor start to the season with Peterborough means he will slot in at reserve, where he could be a potent threat for Eagles.
