Albion centre half Gordon Greer and centre forward Glenn Murray are poised to play the full 90 minutes against Sunderland in Portugal tonight.

Boss Gus Poyet wants the pair to get as much game time as possible, as they are both suspended for the opening League One fixture away to Greer's old club Swindon on August 7.

That means they will figure less prominently in the remaining two friendlies against Portimonense on Saturday night and Aberdeen at Withdean on July 31.

Poyet said:"If I can - and that depends on fitness and performance - I would like Glenn and Gordon to play 90 minutes, so I expect them to do well.

"Of course, if they are terrible then I will change them!

"After today it is going to be difficult to play them for 90 minutes in the last two games, because I need to play the team that will start the season."

Albion will line-up against Sunderland in Albufeira in a 4-3-3 formation, with Greer partnered by Tommy Elphick and Murray supported in wide areas by Elliott Bennett and Ashley Barnes.

The midfield trio includes summer signings Matt Sparrow and Radostin Kishishev.

Poyet added: "I will probably makes five changes, depnding on how the game goes. I want at least five or six to have 90 minutes."

Albion (4-3-3): Poke; Calderon, Greer, Elphick, Paynter; Navarro, Kishishev, Sparrow; Bennett, Murray, Barnes.
