Three Bridges maintained their 100% start to the league campaign with a 2-0 win at home to St Francis Rangers last night.

Goals in each half from Lee Carney and Joel O’Hara made it five wins out of five for Bridges.

They remain third in the table but have two games in hand on each of the sides above them and now only trail leaders Crawley Down by two points.

The Anvils were made to settle for a goalless draw away to Wick. They remain unbeaten but are now just a point clear of Rye United who ran out 2-0 winners away to bottom side Eastbourne United thanks to goals in the final 16 minutes from Scott Ramsay and Dan Leach.

Crowborough remain fourth after Sam Carrington’s first goal of the season earned a 1-0 win at home to Sidley United but there were defeats for the four sides immediately below them in the table.

Pagham lost 2-1 at home to Chichester with Nathan Paxman hitting an 80th-minute winner, Ashley Slaughter got the only goal as Hassocks won at East Grinstead while Redhill lost 3-0 at Shoreham and Arundel beat Selsey 2-0.
