Boss Steve Evans insists his Crawley players will have their minds on the job when they face Wrexham for the second time in three days tonight.

It is a game Reds could have done without four days before they face Manchester United in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

But Evans believes his side can repeat Saturday’s come-from-behind 3-2 triumph at the Broadfield despite the undoubted distraction that a visit to Old Trafford on Saturday provides.

Trailing 2-0, Reds triumphed thanks to a second half hat-trick from 28-goal Matt Tubbs.

Evans said: “It is never ideal playing the same side three days later but when we looked to re-arrange his game not for one minute did we think we would be going to Manchester United four days later.

“It makes things difficult but we will have our minds on only one thing and if we start the game with the same character we showed in the second half on Saturday we will do okay, but it is a tough place to go.

“In Portugal last week we did some good fitness work but we also had time to relax.

“It obviously worked in so much that our energy levels have been refreshed and I think we showed that in the latter stages against Wrexham.”
