Chris Wood has been given the all-clear to remain with Albion for the rest of the season.
West Brom are letting the 19-year-old Kiwi stay with the Seagulls, unless they encounter an injury crisis.
Albion have borrowed Wood on a youth loan, which means his parent club are entitled to recall him.
The Seagulls have been sweating over the possibility of new West Brom boss Roy Hodgson calling Wood back since Roberto Di Matteo’s departure from the Hawthorns hot-seat.
Wood revealed: “There has been no talk of me going back which I think is a good thing for me. Staying down here would be the best option for me but if they ever needed me if they pick up injuries I’d be happy to go back, because they are my club.
“I haven’t talked to the new manager. I’ve spoken to the sporting director and they have assured me the best place for me is down here.”
