Gus Poyet hailed the spirit of his players beating Carlisle 4-3 at Withdean.

The Albion boss admitted he was not happy to concede three goals but was delighted to take the three points.

He said: "I don't like these games but credit to the team, credit to the players, they kept believing.

"It doesn't matter how you play, how you are defending, you keep going because maybe another team would collapse, would maybe concede another one and you lose the point you have.

"We worked hard and we won it."

Poyet also hailed Liam Bridcutt's 93rd-minute winner.

He added: "He came up with a stunner, it was perfect the way he connected with the ball, the keeper didn't have an opportunity to move."
