ALBION boss Gus Poyet is glad to have Radostin Kishishev back for the final promotion push.

The 36-year-old midfielder made his first appearance since the end of January in Saturday’s thriller against Carlisle.

Kishishev only returned recently from Bulgaria after compassionate leave for family reasons.

He was brought on in the second half when Albion were 3-2 up and Poyet believes he made a big difference.

He said: “Kish came on and understood the game better than anyone else on the pitch. He knew where the danger was, how to pass it, when to make a foul.

“That is down to experience and quality so I’m pleased to have him back.”

Albion won despite conceding three goals at home for the first time since Poyet’s first home league game in charge against Leeds 16 months ago.
