Albion have offered new deals to three of their development squad prospects.
But goalkeeper Mitch Walker has been told he is free to go.
Walker, who made his first team debut at the end of the 2009-10 season, still has a year to run on his existing deal but faces stiff competition for a first team squad spot or reserve team duty.
Yaser Kasim, Ryan Simmonds and Steve Cook have been offered contracts while James Smith and Ryan Thompson have been released.
Meanwhile Jamie Smith and Michael Poke have agreed terms for the next six months and one year respectively.
Playmaker Smith started last season in Gus Poyet's first team and has been told the chance is there for him to earn a longer contract if he impresses.
