Joe Walsh is set to make his Crawley debut against Gillingham in the JP Trophy tonight.
Walsh comes in for the first time since his arrival from Swansea two weeks ago while Mike Jones is handed his first start in a side which features six changes from the one which won 1-0 against Leyton Orient at the weekend.
Mark Connolly returns at right-back, Dannie Bulman and Shaun Cooper come into the midfield and Jonathan Forte starts up front.
Claude Davis, Kyle McFadzean, Nicky Ajose, Gary Alexander, Matt Sadler and Hope Akpan are the players to drop out.
Gillingham also make six changes to the side which drew 1-1 at home to Chesterfield on Saturday in what is seen as a low priority competition for many teams.
The Gills feature former Reds striker Ben Strevens and ex-Eastbourne Borough loanee goalkeeper Tommy Forecast.
Crawley (4-4-2): P Jones; Hunt, Connolly, Cooper, Walsh; Adams, Bulman, Simpson, M Jones; Clarke, Forte. Subs: Davies, Akinde, Wassmer, Neilson, Kuipers.
